What buying direct from farmers actually means for us

We buy coconuts from local farming families growing organic coconut trees across Nigeria, rather than through the chain of intermediaries that normally sits between a Nigerian farm and a finished product.

Why it matters commercially

Buying direct means more of what you pay reaches the people growing the fruit. It also means we know which farms our stock came from, which matters when a batch tastes different from the last one and we need to work out why.

Using the whole fruit

Processing everything in one place is what makes the range possible. The water is bottled first. The meat becomes milk, then powder. What is left is pressed for oil, dried into flakes, or milled into flour and poundo. Husk and shell go back out for fuel and horticultural use.

What we have not done yet

We do not hold organic certification and we do not claim it. Our coconuts are grown without synthetic pesticide programmes, but certification is a formal process we have not completed.

We also cannot yet publish an audited figure for the share of each sale that reaches farmers. When we can, we will.
